Web Site: Remax Real Estate

URL: www.remax.com

Design

1) What is the design theme or metaphor that is used on the web site? How does it add to your impression of the web site?
I really don't get this question.  I guess if anything it's like a newspaper/advertisement.

2) What colors are used on the site? How do they contribute to your feelings about the web site?
Red, white, and blue.

3) How consistently is the design followed from one section of the web site to another?
Completely.  I looked throughout this site for just this sort of thing and I've found that the theme is consistent.

4) Does the appearance and arrangement of elements on the page (such as the placement of primary and secondary content or the location of navigation buttons) make the pages easy and logical to use? If so, how is that accomplished?
Yes, this is consistent also.

Organization

1) What are the main categories used to organize information? Do they make sense? Are they intuitive?
Finding offices, agents, first time homebuyers, loan tools, etc.  Yes, they do make sense and are intuitive enough to be usable by all.

2) How closely does the overall organization of the site follow the "five clicks rule" (you're never more than five clicks from the information you are seeking)?
I found this to be true.

3) Does the placement of the hypertext links make sense? Are there too many or too few?
Seems well laid out to me.

4) Was there anything that was too difficult to find?
No.

Writing

1) How would you describe the writing style? Friendly? Professional? What words would you use?
Yes, friendly and professional.  Typical real estate fare.

2) How concise was the writing? How clear was it?
Just fine.  Not too much or too little.  Plenty of help where you might need it without being burdensome.

Technical Performance

1) How would you judge the speed of the web site?
Better than adequate.

2) Were there some technical functions that dazzled you? Were there some that didn't make sense or didn't work?
No, but the whole package worked together smoothly.

Overall Assessment

1) What did you like best about this web site? What "'wowed" you?
The tight integration of all the parts.  I really believe the site is designed very well. Better than most.

2) Are there any places where the site could be improved? If so, what should be the highest priorities for improving this site?
Not that I could find.
